Read what God is doing through our ministry

Below are letters we'd like to share from what others are saying about our seminars and workshop programs, and how working with us
has had a positive effect on their lives. If you have something you wish to add, please contact us here!

"I have known the Bragonier’s for more than ten years, and they have on a number of occasions helped teach our congregation God's principles for money management. Dave is a particularly gifted pulpit speaker on the entire area of stewardship.

Their new book contains remarkably practical insights for building and maintaining your financial house. They have made effective use of construction metaphors to arm readers with new skills and perspectives to bring order and purpose to an area that many find an overwhelming challenge.

We are all citizens in an overly consumptive culture, and this book is a must read for those who desire to please God with their finances."

"In Getting Your Financial House in Order, David & Debbie give the readers a tool kit to get their financial house in order. The book puts the financial principles in easy to understand terms. Their step-by-step walk through the house permits the reader to review their financial status, make necessary changes and have outstanding scripture references for the basic financial principles. After completing this book the reader should have developed or revised a financial floor plan, which will give them a new freedom and a closer walk with Christ.

Whether the reader is in the process of starting a financial plan (building); trying to solve some serious financial difficulties (repairing) or simply reviewing (maintaining) their financial plans this book gives them the basic steps to complete the task.

David & Debbie use Biblical principles to show the real key to financial freedom is not how much money you have, but how to apply God's principles to your finances - 'knowing exactly where God wants you and pressing forward in the areas you need to improve.' By applying these principles the reader will experience true financial freedom and improve their walk with Christ."

"We have had many couples come into our lives in the 48 plus years we have been married, and financial problems are a common complaint. In this book, Dave and Debbie give us some very practical tools to help with building, repairing and maintaining our financial house. Included is a room-by-room tour of what a successful financial house looks like, and a way to determine the health of your PRESENT financial house.

They are flexible and recognize the need to accept differences in people. For instance Dave says 'What is a freedom for me, may not be a freedom for you. What is a freedom for you may not be a freedom for me - and both can be in God's will.' They remind us that it's not the amount of money we have that's important; it's our attitude about the money that counts. We highly recommend this practical blueprint to Getting Your Financial House in Order."

Financial Success

Dear Dave & Family,

I closed the sale of my home this week. It was a financial success.

My late husband and I started with a home valued at $59k in 1989. In five years we moved to one for $125k. After my husband died, I looked for another home and better horse property, and purchased one for $242k (all debt free!).

I sold that house for $362k . I had borrowed $232k for 1 year to purchase a retirement home in MT. Now it is all fixed up and free and clear; and I put $100k into my retirement/investment account. I also funded Roth IRAs for 5 grandchildren and am donating significantly to the church's building fund. I still teach part time and travel to Mexico annually.

I'm still sticking to those biblical principles you taught us at a seminar years ago. I encourage you to keep pressing forward, even when ministry funds get tight! I hope to offer financial counseling at my new church.

Yours with fond memories of our training sessions,

Standing in Agreement

Dear Dave & Barnabas staff,

The Lord must have great things in store for you and this ministry. We stand with you in prayer and look forward with anticipation to the great things he will do.

May any current challenges only result in magnifying the power and majesty of our great and glorious Lord.

Be encouraged and of good cheer as you keep the faith!

By His Marvelous Grace,

Grace Under Fire

Dear California Friends & Families,

Thank you all so much for your prayers for my family and others during the fires. I have terrific news to share. My family still has a house! I was able to return home on Sunday. It was absolutely fantastic to walk into my office Monday morning and find everything just as I had left it two weeks ago ... unfinished projects, sticky note reminders, and all! It really is a miracle that our house is unscathed. One house on our street burned down, but the rest of the neighborhood is fine.

Although the last two weeks have been difficult — and I certainly wouldn't volunteer to go through something like this again — the Lord has used it to teach me some important lessons, a lot of which have to do with biblical principles I’ve learned in seminars related to the reality of God’s “ownership” and my “stewardship.”

When we thought our house had burned down, it revealed how important some of my possessions were to me and how much they had gotten a hold of my heart. It was hard to totally surrender them to the Lord. Now that I realize I still have a house, I am so grateful for it and all the things in it, but I don't want to become attached to all the stuff again. There is a certain freedom in owning very little. Just think how easily you could travel, move to a new location, or even organize everything you own if it could all fit into one suitcase.

A fire can be a real gratefulness enhancer. I don't think I will ever complain again about the size of my closet. At least I still have a closet (and all the great stuff in it)! It has also helped me put possessions, even treasured ones, in perspective. As long as I have them, I will enjoy using them, but I am going to hold my things with an open hand rather than grasping onto them tightly and building my self-worth around them.

I also have a great tip for any of you moms who are working on organizing your house. If you wouldn't particularly care if an item were lost in a fire, chances are, you don't need it and can get rid of it without a fire to help the process along. Sunday night, as I was unpacking, I went through my closet and pulled out the clothes I knew I wouldn't have missed if I had never seen them again. Wow! Now there's actually room in there to find the clothes I do like.

Prodigal Daughter

Dear Dave & Barnabas,

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." — (2 Cor. 4:8-9)

When you were up here teaching a seminar at our church, at the end of the service, my husband and I talked with you about our daughter who had fallen away.
You and Debbie had a lot of good instruction for us. Well, I have such great news! Our daughter has fully come back to the Lord.

Thank you for allowing Him to lead you in your walk and His ways.
